Custom Cashiers with extra personality

These cashier NPCs have new 'idle' animations to give them different 'personalities', and add atmosphere to your shopping locations. They use animations from the game & the EPs, so no new animation files need to be installed. The 'personality' does not affect your ability to purchase items or your Sim's 'experience' shopping. Each register spawns only the gender/skintone/bodytype shown in the preview pic.

The cash registers and NPCs come in one "EZ Clone" iff, designed so you can easily change the skins to create your own custom cashiers. Both Windows and Mac users can find instructions for changing the NPCs' skins of your clones, in the DIY Tutorials area of the Woobsha Workshop section.

Modern Cash Registers
Electric/Mechanical cash register animations

January 2016 update: These cash registers are now all been home-enabled

Reminder: not all shop displays work on residential lots, even with a working cash register present.

Disgruntled cashier Kermin

This cashier's idle animations show how much he hates his meaningless job. No nose picking! Uses some animations from HP: users who don't have HP will NOT get a missing animations bubble, it just doesn't run the extra animations.

This model uses skins included in the HD EP: no skin files included in zip.

Requires HD or Higher; HP recommended

Disgruntled cashier Paulette Dropinsky

FIXED 2018: A flaw causing multiple cashiers to spawn if you didn't have SS installed has now been fixed. Thanks to Dramatica and Dukasha for locating and identifying it!

Yes, the infamous party crasher works for a living ... if you can call watch watching and fits of frustration living!

A variation of the 'disgruntled' cashier, Paulette has some extra animations from SS, for added angst: users who don't have that EP will not get a missing animation bubble, she just won't run those animations.

Paulette's skin's come from House Party: no skin files included in zip. Clones with new skins will not require HP.

Requires HP and HD or higher; SS Recommended

Bored cashier Pete Dropinsky

Perhaps there's hope for Pete after all ... he's gone and got himself a job. Sure, it's mind-numbingly boring but he finds ways to entertain himself.

This cashier alleviates the general tedium of his job by occasionally breaking into a dance move.

Pete's skins come from House Party: no skins files included in zip. Clones with new skins will not require HP.

Requires HP and HD or higher

The 'Jock' cashier

This sporty cashier spends his idle time playing air basketball & flexing his muscles.

Uses animations from TS & HD only. This model uses skins included in the original game: no skin files included in zip.

The 'Vain' Cashier, 'uptown' model

Perfect for high end clothing & accessories shops, Ivanna makes sure she always looks her best, frequently primping in her mirror & filing her nails. If there is a mirror (from HD+) in her store, she will also check herself out there. When not primping, etc, Ivanna does the standard 'expensive clerk' idle, and occasionally checks her watch & sighs. Ivanna comes with custom head and body textures (.bmps) which fit on meshes that are in The Sims original game: No meshes included.

Requires HD or Higher

'Vain' Cashier, 'convenience store' model

Dressed in a convenience store type work shirt, Vanessa is designed for groceries, corner stores or 'low end' retail locations. This clerk spends much of her idle time primping & filing her nails, but unlike the more cultured Ivanna cashier, Vanessa also displays impatience & boredom when she isn't involved in grooming. Vanessa will primp for your Sim after every sale. Like Ivanna, if there is a mirror (from HD+) in her store, she will also check herself out there. Vanessa comes with body mesh & texture (.bmp), and head texture which fits on a mesh that came with the original Sims game.

Requires HD or Higher

Snoozin' Susan, the Sleepy Cashier

Working at a 24/7 Convenience Mart really wears Susan out: she's just about falling asleep on her feet. This clerk alternates from being mildly bored & impatient to stretching & shaking herself awake. Susan comes with body mesh & texture (.bmp), and head texture which fits on a mesh that came with the original Sims game.

Garden Centers
(Home enabled, MM required, UL enhanced)

These clerks are similar to the modern cashiers use the MM "cash box" animations instead of ones for electric or mechanical cash registers. If you have Unleashed installed they will also sell Gardener Bob's tonic and answer the same questions he does (they will not sell or buy any vegetables, though)

Garden Centre Clerk Clark
home enabled; with some UL gardener's skills

Clark will water plants in that are in the same room as his register and gardens that are outside (but wont go into other rooms to water). He'll also read a book between sales.

January 2016 update: The "AS-IS" version of this clerk has been updated. I have smoothed out some rough spots, mostly improving his ability to tend gardens beds/plots(gardens have quirky coding so if they are watered on a location lot, their graphics reset to show them as freshly planted.)

Witches and Wizards
(Home enabled, MM required, UL enhanced)

These cashiers all "practice" casting spells; that is to say they go through the motion of casting and a spell effect can be seen. None of their "spell casting" will interfere with any Sims in any way or upset any non-magical Sims. They use the MM "cash box", a countertop version of the Magic Town kiosk.

The vain crone, Morgana Macon
home enabled; with UL palm reader's skills

(HOME ENABLED - found in the Magic category on Home lots)
Morganna Macon of the Macon Magick Supplies Shoppe, extremely vain and slightly grumpity, Morganna fares better if you place a store mirror in the room to keep her occupied. (Morganna prefers mirrors she can "Admire" herself in but will use most others if she must.) When not applying makeup admiring herself Morganna practices her magic both in a general sense and using the mirror for targeted spells. The mirror is also used to help her change clothing (which accounts for the large number of dresses bundled in this zip). All of that magick practice comes in mighty handy when pests (roaches or flies) happen into her shop, though, as she's ready willing and able to dispatch them immediately! For those with Unleashed installed, Morganna Macon is also a gifted a palm reader, a reviver of the dead, and a pet channeller on both home and away lots.

Requires Makin' Magic; Unleashed Recommended for enhanced features

The patient matron, Rowan Reading
home enabled; with UL palm reader's skills

Rowan Rowan

(HOME ENABLED - found in the Magic category on Home lots)
Rowan is a quiet, nurturing witch who whiles the hours away reading her tomes and crystal ball (custom accessory files included), practicing spells, gently ridding the shop of any flies or roaches that happen to wander in, and tending the shop's potted plants between sales. For those with Unleashed installed, this clerk will also read palms, revive the dead and channel your pets' needs on both home and away lots.

Requires Makin' Magic; Unleashed Recommended

Object Makers please note: During the purchase transaction the "Magic Town" style counter-top register is not electric, using MM's cash box animations.

Hackers please note: The "Magic Town" style register is a good study if you are interested in using the Makin' Magic Spell effects. Note the "pass temp 0 to main" portion of BHAV 5117's Line 3. Because of this, the value I that assign to Temp Storage Zero is used by the spawned object (NPC-FX.iff). As illustrated in my BHAV #5113 ("if Mirror - spell reflect") this FX file can be associated with any object, not just NPCs. Awesome, huh?
