Personality (continued)
Notice that the returns in statement 0 have changed from 1/3 to 1/4? This is
because we added an instruction to our previous 3 line routine. The routine now
consists of 4 lines (0, 1, 2, and 3). Statement 4 belongs to the next type of
chair.
So what happens if your Sim already has 10 nice points? Nothing. The bed will
still give energy and comfort and forget about the nice points because it cannot
add any more than 10. Same thing if you made an object that took away points.
If your Sim had none of the points you were trying to take away, the object would
ignore the request. Because... you can't take anything away from zero.
Close out of your behaior, save the file and exit out of IFF.
Time To Test
Once you load up the game, create a new family in your testing neighborhood
and give them ZERO personality. In other words, give them a name, a look and that's
it. No nice, active, playful, etc.
Move your family into a house and then test the bed. Since these Sims are new
to your testing neighborhood, they naturally will not sleep together. So, once
you get through testing the bed in your new house to make sure one (or all) of
your personality-less Sims earns a nice point, take your bed into an established
house where Mom and Dad sleep in the same bed, and test to make sure they both
earn a nice point while sleeping together.
Skills
Once we have the personalities down pat, the next step in line is to learn
all about skills. Both Sims and Pets can acquire skills, and because Maxis is
so efficient, once again they lumped the Pet Skill Codes in with those of the
Sims. And yes, they are just so nice! Write them down in your Code
