LESSON 4 - Part 1:  Graphic States, Sprites & Draw Groups

Recoloring The Beds

Save a copy of your file to your "Holding Tank".

The next step of course, is to pretty up the different beds to make them match the color we assigned them. If you are familiar with recoloring and your graphics program, then go ahead and do that now. When you are through, come back to the lesson.

If you DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RECOLOR, then I have a step by step tutorial for you (using PSP 7 or PSP 8) so that you can recolor your pet beds. When you finish the tutorial, a link from there will bring you right back to this page in the lesson.

Everyone back from recoloring? Great. And now, without further ado...

Time To Test

Go into your game and try out the pet bed. You should be able to smoothly switch between the different beds available form the menu.

After testing, if everything went okay, you can save a copy of the pet bed to your "Holding" folder for safe keeping. Who knows, we may want to add to it one day.

The Second Method

Very quickly because we have other things to cover, let's try the switcheroo thing one more time. This time, however, we'll use attributes. And just for grins, we'll use an object that has no tree table and no TTAB section. Everybody ready? Open up Tmog.

Clone tablesend > Table - End - Moderate 2. Name it anything you'd like, and then close Tmog.
